Traditionally videos are recorded using one or more cameras offline and then transferred to a computer for editing or post-production.  There are now a multitude of different solutions available to record high quality video with one or more cameras as a webcam with your computer. Some applications run locally on the desktop and others can record directly in the browser, with no download or installation required.

Many recording and screen capture platforms incorporate the ability to mix numerous different sources (including live video, pre-recorded content, images, presentations, screen and browsers), as well as offering the capability to add "lower thirds", transitions and creative scenes to elevate the production values of any video content created.  Most video recording platforms can make content available to download for editing or asynchronous viewing or can stream live to multiple platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn or Twitter.
