For Mac users Ecamm offers a full video production studio built for Mac.  It's sophisticated and feature rich but still fairly simple to use.  Excellent 'How to" videos are available and a fantastic support team are on hand if any further assistance is required.

 

PC users should check out Restream (which has lovely transitions and pretty much everything you will need) and if you're after the highest quality video recording for remote guests, check out Riverside.FM
